Technical Requirements & Learning Setup
Everything you need to know about our digital portrait drawing curriculum and the tools that will support your creative journey from beginner to accomplished artist.
Our Proven Teaching Methodology
After working with over 800 students since 2019, we've refined our approach to focus on what actually works. No fancy software or expensive equipment—just solid fundamentals taught through hands-on practice and personalized feedback.
Basic Requirements
- Standard drawing tablet (Wacom Intuos or similar, -80)
- Computer with 8GB RAM minimum
- Free software: Krita or GIMP
- Reliable internet for weekly video sessions
- Webcam for portfolio reviews
Foundation Phase (Months 1-3)
We start with basic shapes and proportions. You'll spend the first month just getting comfortable with your tablet—muscle memory matters more than artistic theory at this stage.
Technical Development (Months 4-6)
This is where students typically struggle—learning to see light and shadow correctly. We break down complex faces into simple value patterns that anyone can understand and replicate.
Personal Style (Months 7-8)
Once you've mastered the basics, we help you develop your own artistic voice. This isn't about copying other artists—it's about finding what naturally emerges from your own way of seeing.
